G3-PLC

The G3-PLC Alliance is a consortium created in 2011 to standardize, support and promote G3-PLC technology globally. The technology, standardized under ITU-T G.9903, uses the existing powerline infrastructure for cost-effective data communication.

Applications of the technology include smart metering, smart grid management, street lighting, smart cities, home automation systems, railway control systems and other industrial applications.

Today, G3-PLC Alliance counts more than 90 members that are international key stakeholders of the smart grid ecosystem. Over 50 million G3-PLC products have already been deployed in more than 30 countries around the world.
